Rules for Conversion

B. Man is sinful and separated from God.

C. Jesus Christ is the only provision for sin.

D. We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

5. 1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

i. “Lord Jesus, I need you, now. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me Eternal Life. Take control of my life and make me the kind of person you want me to be. Now! Amen.”

ii. Godly sorrow worketh repentance – repentance is more than words. You must turn around and walk the other way. New life, new habits, new friendships, new lifestyle, and a new birth.

iii. John 3:5 – You must be born of water and spirit.

E. Birth of water is baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Rules for Ministry

A. The Ministry of Laying on of Hands

i. Ask permission from the Individual: “May I pray for you?” Lay hand gently on forehead and say: “Jesus may you bless this person with Holy Fire and Power. May you heal their body and direct their path! Amen.” Now encourage them to praise and worship, calling on the name of Jesus – Acts 1:20 .

4. This must all be done under spiritual authority.

Rules for Water Baptism

A. Must be fully immersed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ – Acts 10:47.

B. Instruct the candidate to hold their nose with one hand and clasp their wrist with the other.

C. ___________________ (Name) upon the profession of your faith and in obedience to the Word of God, I now baptize you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

D. You gently bend them backward and lift them quickly.

E. Encourage them to praise and worship, calling on the Name of Jesus – Acts 1:19 .

F. Information cards must be provided for “follow up” work.

Life After New Birth

A. The key to life after the new birth is faithfulness to church – Hebrews 10:25 .

B. It is at church you are “fed,” instructed, corrected and strengthened. At church you are powerfully moved by the anointed Word toward comfort, exhortation and edification. Church services will be added to accommodate the Enquirers.

A. The “Enquirers’ Handbook: A Study Guide for Believers” is available online at www.promiselandchurch.net. It can be downloaded free and is excellent for new believers and for Home Bible study.

B. The website www.theexperience238.com is an excellent way to learn the basic doctrines of the church.
