As I get ready to go join with other leaders and minister in Grand Rapids, Michigan I was once again amazed at the marvelous construct of God’s plan
for each of us. Leaders must lead. Leaders must investigate. Leaders must explore. Leaders must rub shoulders with the genius of transparent communication, exploration, and accountability. This is not a new thing, in fact, it is the pattern from which we study and explore Truth. It’s the reality of sitting at the ancient Table of the Rabbi’s.
A great leader once said, “Truth is only discovered in the wider context and community of humanity! One group, one culture, one denomination cannot express the entirety of the Truth of Jesus Christ because their individual bias will ultimately bend their perception of their revelation until it becomes the image for which they derive purpose. In other words, They exist for the purpose of exclaiming their position.” Simply put, their position on and their opinions about “truth” becomes more important than the pursuit of “truth.” Thus, they live in the shadows of idolatry!
Truth is much like a light beam hitting a prism to reveal the marvelous color and dimension of light! Truth travels from Jesus (because He is Truth) through the prism of our individuality, personality, and circumstances to effectually form a corporate kaleidoscope of grand color, texture, and realness in each one of us.
When leaders come together, elasticity is manifested. Our beings are expanded because our visions are stretched. We hear the marvelous workings of God and we at once sense the breadth of His Grace working in the souls of men from other quarters. Our hearts leap within us when we realize that God has birthed in them similar Kingdom passions and we recognize the value of linking together to do something much greater than one person could ever do.
In a leadership forum, accountability to Truth (the Truth once delivered to the saints) enforces our individual calls to mission and motivates us to do more with the Gospel for the evangelization of this people planet.
If you are a member of a local church be sure and send your pastors to those places where they can fellowship, communicate, explore, and receive. That place where they can be accountable to the call and mission of Jesus in their life. Make sure your pastors are getting together with other leaders to discover the broader perspective of what God is doing in His earth; for His people and among His people.
Make the investment and the return in your life will be the fresh wind of revelation delivered from your pulpits each and every week. You will be the recipient of the rich benefits of Grace and Truth!
