Champions World

Champions World

It’s the blogosphere where blogs from Champions leaders intersect with other prominent voices from around the world.  You will meet dynamic leaders with fresh vision - vision that is original, organic, zeroed in and highly extravagant.  There is nothing “safe” about our leaders.  They are unafraid to create collaborative environments that demand bold risk-taking so that the church will again look like the Book of Acts church.

Beautiful Feet

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him…that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”  w_hutchins_sm.jpgThese words were spoken by the Prophet of God concerning the message of the coming Messiah, and are used today with reference to gospel preachers.  The Apostle Paul said, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him in whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach except they be sent?  As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

The feet of the righteous suggest beauty in contrast to the feet of the ungodly, which perish in untimely ends because they “walked in the counsel of the ungodly.”  The feet of the upright walk in straight paths, abiding in the tabernacle of their joy, which is the sanctuary of the Most High God.  The feet of the righteous are like “hinds feet” which have abilities to climb the mountains of life and scale what appear to some as insurmountable circumstances.

Will God Really Judge People?

Judgment is not a popular subject in the church.  The word "judgment" is rarely heard used in Christianity w_hutchins_sm.jpgtoday.  However, as the generation who now lives on the ragged edge of eternity we are wise to know what the Bible says about Jesus and His day of judgment.

“Because God is infinitely just, He will neither let hidden evil be unpunished, nor hidden good be unrewarded.”  ― Wolle

“We shall see of what vast consequence it is to us that we be religious, if we consider the account we must every one of us shortly give of himself to God.”      ― Matthew Henry

“Fear of God – a proper fear of God originates in faith; a wrong fear, in doubt.  A right fear bends toward hope, because it springs from faith, and we hope in the God whom we believe; and improper fear leads to despair, because we dread Him in whom we have not faith.”  ― Blaise Pascal

The Broken American Male...

The Broken American Male and How to Fix Him

Have you ever read a book and said “I wish that I would have written that.” The Broken American Male wayne_neylandweb.jpgand How to Fix Him, written by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is the best book I have read in the last four years.

Here are a few of the chapter titles.

  • The Curse of Ambition-
  • From Career to Calling -
  • A New Definition of Success -
  • Hero without a Spotlight
  • Rise, Oh Circle Man.

The Day After Easter!

What an exhilarating event!  This garden experience has certainly changed the course of history oncew_hutchins_sm.jpg again.  What is about man and gardens?  The first Adam changed the course of human history in a garden, and now the last Adam, this Nazarene named Jesus has again changed the course of human history.

The Pharisee’s despised this Jewish Rabbi; after all He did come teaching with a different kind of authority and had raised inordinate questions about their decrees.  They had gained the assurances from the Roman rulers that the borrowed tomb of Jesus would be secured with Roman guards.

On The Eve of Triumph…. Easter Morning

Hell had no idea what was transpiring deep within the womb of the earth.  Her gluttony and drunkennessw_hutchins_sm.jpg had reached a fevered pitch as her evil revelry mimed to a new poisoned ballad… “Heir is dead…. We have killed Him… as we've said.”  Demons were dizzy with the apparent victory they had scored against the lone Nazarene.  The ruthless betrayal of His disciple and subsequent crucifixion by the Romans was only eclipsed by the maniacal, blood-thirsty cry of those named Pharisee.   Their rank gluttony feasted on the Bread, they thought forever dead.

But Oh’ what reclamation laid in store.  Grace was stirring in a dimension they were blind to and barred from.  In fact, the sulfur-eyed demon sentinel had no idea that the next One through the door would not be an alien intruder, but the Creator of his chasm and the Judge of his damnation.
