I am super-stoked about all God is doing in our midst.  He is marvelous in His dealings with us. We are blessed to know that we are sitting at His table and His royal skirts cover our infirmities.  The scars of His redemption have covered the scars of our fall, and now the lineage of Adam sits at the table of Kings, in the Kingdom of David’s Son.

While we enjoyed the anointed ministry of Pastor Allmon and Pastor Glenn, David and I were privileged to spend a great deal of time with them while we made final arrangements for ALTITUDE 09’.  Be in prayer for ALITUDE 09.  It will be the next generation of Bridge 08.  We are going to rock Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Personally, I have already filed my flight plan with Houston Center and I am preparing for my departure to the city of bridges.  It is interesting to note that Bridge 08 has evolved into ALTITUDE 09 and is being hosted by the city known for its covered bridges.

The headlines below (From Foxnews.com) grabbed my attention this morning.  We are witnessing a mental and spiritual revolution across the globe.  Attitudes toward Jesus, Christianity, the Church, all things Christian, etc… have markedly changed within the last 12 months.

I believe they all witness the fact; we are now living in the shadows of grace. Armageddon looms nearer than we believe. Atrocities are on the rise… but we cheer the more, because Jesus is soon to return for His bride.  Are you ready… to live from your future?  If not, make sure you make Jesus Lord of your life and allow the beauty of His salvation and grace to cover you today. He died to redeem us from our sins. He became your sacrifice, so you wouldn’t have to!

Most people hope the “Cross” won’t get in the way of their Easter celebration…we love Sunday’s where we can celebrate the fact that He is Risen…and don’t get me wrong I am glad that He is Risen…but I am also thankful and mindful of the fact that Good Friday was bloody, traumatic and horrific; and yet it was  the ultimate portrayal of Love!

Here are some meanings of the Cross for me:

 To Absorb the Wrath of God – “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”  Galatians 3:13
We would never be overwhelmed in awe of being loved by a Holy God if we don’t at first recognize the gravity of our sin and the justice of His Wrath against us.

This week, our darling Cy came home with us after Sunday’s service to spend two days delighting us with his creativity, artistic ability, and sheer genius.  He never ceases to amaze Ann and me.

As a young child, life is before him.  His world offers him a new adventure every morning.  He intuitively knows that each day will garner him new knowledge.  He will gain by sharing in some new experience, whether at school or with grandparents.  His excitement for life overwhelms time, until hours simply become moments that mark the ecstasy of discovery.  Behind his radiant eyes, which dance like stars in anticipation of hearing the Creator’s voice, is a mind that is formed and fashioned for learning and living the grace-filled life of God’s abundant favor.

As the early morning light began distinguish the color and texture of this fog enshrouded morning, the rays of light set Robins to singing. These cheerful recipients sang with abandon, singing only for an audience of One.  Creation’s cast quickly assembled with each passing moment to see what glories the Creator would choose to share with each element of His creation.  His handiwork was on display.  His grace abundant.  His light cascading across the community’s landmarks as the fowl bristled with life away from their nest and the buds of flora life were opening to the warmth of invading nectar.

As I journeyed to my hospital destination, creation bowed its head in humble adulation and became fully alive in the splendor of its submission.  You see, creation was not offering its own agenda – but rather, it woke with the anticipation of adventuring one more day into the will of God.
